Hank passed away in Merced, California at the age of 87. He is preceded in death by his parents, Florencia and Felix Dacuyan, siblings, Rosario Calagos and Trongkilino Dacuyan.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Dioselyn, daughters, Sydney (Patrick) Juliana (Louis) and sons, Stephen (Judy) Alex and Kenny Lomoljo also surviving sisters, Andrea Gimeno, Helen Villaruz and Conchita Ginalcordo and grandchildren, Catiel, Celeste, Alexis, Orion, and great-granddaughter Leyella.
Hank was on of the first Filipino-American Administrators in Santa Clara County. He was a Principal in the Cupertino School District and taught in the Campbell and Winton Schools. After retirement he became a supervisor of student teachers at Stanislaus University. He has 68 years in education. He was very active in the community, served as president of the Fil-AM National Historical Society of Central Valley, Past President of the California Retired Teachers Association, Honorary member of the Winton Historical Society, served on the Winton School Board and Recreation Commission, and also the Atwater Tennis Club.
Hank was an outstanding athlete in basketball at Merced High School and in his later years he played tennis and loved to go to the casino with friends.
His students loved him as a Teacher and he will be truly missed by all who knew him. Rest in Peace, Hank.
