Jacqueline Ruth Andersen Foster (Jackie) was born February 25, 1938 in Denver, Colorado to parents Edward and Ruth Andersen (deceased). She passed with grace and dignity in Merced at the age of 79.
Jackie was born into a military family that traveled much and lived through the great depression. As a teen she attended high school in Cheyenne Wyoming and completed her education in Wiesbaden, Germany. Jackie worked as a clerk typist, a studio photographer, a dance instructor, a dental assistant and as a visual merchandiser at Castle Air Force Base. She was married at age 22 to Warren Foster and had three children. After Warren's death she remarried to Charles Dailey. Jackie spent her retirement years in Atwater, but traveled extensively throughout the United States. Jackie would assert her greatest accomplishments and joys were being a dedicated and loving mother to her children, grandmother to her grandchildren and wife and loving partner to both of her husbands.
Jackie is survived by husband Charles Dailey, her brother William Andersen (Taimi), and her Sister Sandy Hicks (Denny). From her marriage to Warren Foster - her children Scott Foster, (Marie), Greg Foster (Lisa) and Laura Foster. Grandchildren Russell (Ivana), Justin (Kayla), Martha, and Lovely, Kaitlyn, Lucas (Mitzy), Beverly (Zack), Kerstyn, Nolan (Julie). From her marriage to Charles Dailey – children Scott (Jean), Tammy L., Chuck Jr., Kari and Grandchildren James, Steven, Timmy, Shea and Jordan.
A celebration of her life will be held at the First Baptist Church 500 Buena Vista Dr. Merced on Wed. Dec. 27th at 11:30 am. Reception to follow at the Church. Burial will be at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery, Santa Nella Thursday Dec. 28th at 2:00 pm.
