Ralph William Cairncross was born July 6, 1956 to William “Don” Cairncross and Betty Cairncross of Winton, Ca and passed away on September 26, 2018 in the comfort of his home surrounded by his family. In his younger years he loved to hunt and fish. As years went on he acquired the title “Coach Ralph” for Livingston Youth Baseball for many years and was a good mentor to many kids. Ralph was a well known and loved farmer, working for Bettencourt Ranch of Winton, where he took pride in his ground work, giving great quality using his big red tractor. In his spare time, he liked to hang out with his friends at Stage Shop Gun Shop in Atwater, work in his yard, take walks with his dog, Minnie, who went everywhere he went, and to spend time with his family, especially his three grandkids. Ralph is preceded in death by his mother, Betty, his brothers, Earl and Scott, his sister, Adrienne and son, Will. He is survived by his devoted wife, Mila of 35 years, son Ralph Jr. (Bubba) and his wife Chelsey, daughter Alexandra (Baby), grandchildren, Rylan, Bryleigh, and Valerie, his father Don, his brothers Kelly and Jay, nieces and nephews, many friends, and his special companion, Minnie.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 4, 2018 from 4-8pm with a Rosary at 7pm at Ivers & Alcorn Funeral home in Atwater. Funeral Mass will be held at 10am on Friday, October 5, 2018 at St. Jude Thaddeus Church in Livingston with burial to follow at Winton District Cemetery in Winton.
