Anthony Gerome O’Neal was born on October 12, 1952. He was born in Lafayette, Alabama.
Anthony was the second-born son of two loving parents, Wilbur and Francis O’Neal. Born into a
military family, Anthony traveled to many places. Eventually, his father was stationed at the
Castle Airforce Base in Atwater, California. Anthony attended elementary, junior high, and high
school in Atwater. Once Anthony finished high school, he enrolled at Merced College, where he
received his AA Degree in Human Science.
Anthony enlisted in the Marine Corps and was stationed at Camp Lejeune in Jacksonville, NC
where he actively served his country for four years, until his honorable discharge. After
discharge Anthony remained in the reserves for years.
Anthony joined the Loomis Armored Car Company in San Jose, CA. As an Armored car driver,
he was a dependable, faithful, and reliable worker for 27 years. Due to illness, he had to give up
what he loved and was forced to retire.
As a kid, Anthony loved hanging out with friends, basketball, and football. However, as he grew
up, he enjoyed spending time with his daughter and grandsons, sitting and watching games with
his dad, and spending holidays with his mother and family, he loved cars, and music and never
missed an episode of general hospital and all my children.
Whether you knew him as Anthony, Tony, Gerome, or Uncle blood. Everyone who knew
Anthony knew him as a strong-willed person who did things the way he wanted, an outspoken
person not afraid to tell it like it was, he was kind and loving with a laid-back sense of humor. He
had a unique smile and a sly grin that will always be remembered. He believed in God, and he
also believed in helping those in need. Anthony never married but was the father of Tiffany
Marie O’Neal, and grandfather to Cameron Jerome Skinner, and Christian Andrew Skinner.
Anthony remained a fighter throughout his illness and ran his race with sheer will and grace but
on July 15, 2022, God called Anthony home, said well done, and welcomed him in. He
peacefully left this world and gained his wings.
