Charles was the youngest of six children born to Wm. Harrison Webb and Jane (Brown) Webb in Naoma West Virginia. He was proceeded in death by his father Harrison, Mother Jane, of West Virginia, his wife, Carol June Webb, of 40 years, a sister Goldie Osbourn, of Cleveland, Ohio brothers Aden Webb and Roy Webb, of West Virginia. He leaves two brother, Basil William (Bill) of Atwater,CA. ,Troy Webb, of Cleveland, Ohio and a niece (sister) Mary Jarrell, of West Virginia.
He enlisted in the Marine Corp in March of 1953, he completed basic training at Camp La Jeune, North Carolina. He was then stationed in Colby Japan. While home on leave he met Carol Pittman in Washington DC in 1954. She gave him her address and they started corresponding. He was discharged from the Marine Corp on March 11, 1957 and he and Carol were married March 17,1957. They then moved to Cleveland, Ohio, where he went to work for American National Can Corp., and worked there for 39.9 years before retiring in 1997. They had four children, Cheryl Basko ,Cynthia Pichler, Charles A. Webb Jr., (Kris) and Cathy Creter. He leaves eleven grandchildren from this union, Mark Pichler, Zach Pichler, Caroline Basko, Cathryn Basko, Destiney Miller, Shana Szalay, Kaity Webb, Lindsey Patterson, Russell Creter, Megan Beeke and Carol June Creter. He also leaves 10 great- grandchildren, of Cleveland, Ohio. During his years in Cleveland he was a member of Bethal Temple Assembly of God Church and served as an usher and work with the Royal Rangers for many years.
He then came to Merced California and met and Married Janiece Simons. Charles leaves his wife of 23 years Janiece Webb and three step children Deanna Allen, Daniel Allen, and Dana (Robert Allen. He also leaves 8 grandchildren, Melissa Bryan, Shannon Nicole Woods, Caleb Allen (Lidia), Wesley Allen (Sarah), Nathan Allen (Melissa), of Merced, Lyndsey Griffith (John), of Atwater, CA., Samuel Allen, and Zackery Allen of Winton, CA . He also leaves 8 great- grandchildren in Merced, Ca.
For the last 20 plus years he has been a member of Life Place Church aka Calvary Temple Worship Center. He served as an usher, food ministry director, and worked with the Patches program and the CP program.
He is loved by many and will be missed greatly.
