November 25, 1961 – May 6, 2022
Services will be held Wednesday, May 18, for Donnell Louise Smith, 60, who was taken suddenly on May 6, 2022. Donnell was the mother of Kaitlin Smith, who was the joy of her life; and wife of 38 years to Mike Smith of Merced.

She attended Central Presbyterian Church (CPC) with her father for several years. When she was young, she loved to play the guitar and sing. Her passion was working with and being with children. In addition, Donnell liked the ocean, crocheting baby blankets, attending Dodger games, and going to casinos. She loved to go camping but was most at home and the happiest when she was at Silver Lake.

She is the daughter of Don Walker, Merced; sister of Al Kelley of Snelling (Laurie), Elaine Post of Merced (Tom), Margie Bray of the Wichita Kansas area (Larry). Donnell was also always a loved and integral member of the Smith family. She was an incredible aunt to her many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She was also loved and cherished by many lifelong friends.
