Duangpee “Bea” Waites
August 12, 1951 - September 5, 2023
Born in the province of Nakhon Phanom in Thailand, Duangpee had a tough upbringing where she learned hard work and perseverance. In the 1970s, she set off for the United States where she worked hard, learned English, made friends, and became a naturalized citizen.
Duangpee had a daughter who she raised to have a love for gardening, cooking, eating good food, as well as a strong love and appreciation for the Thai culture just like herself. She raised her daughter with her husband of 30+ years full of beautiful memories and a lot of laughter. In this lifetime, she was fortunate enough to spoil her only grandson with anything he ever wanted.
She went from cleaning hotel rooms and the billets at Castle Air Force Base to retiring from Foster Farms after 26 years, living the American Dream. She was an amazing woman with a kind spirit who has left us all honored to have known her.
Duangpee leaves behind: Her daughter Lynette Williams who will miss her good advice and all the laughs they have shared; her husband Reginald Waites who will miss her being by his side; her grandson Jermain Montoya who will miss her kindness; along with 3 brothers, 1 sister, and many nieces and nephews in Thailand, plus all the friends that have become her family over the years.
We will be honoring Duangpee Waites by celebrating her 100th day passing at a local temple in mid-December. She will forever live in the hearts of everyone who loved her.
