EMILY ELIZABETH QUINN BELUARDO

1936-2022

Emily Beluardo, 85, a long-time resident of Merced, CA passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by loving family on April 1, 2022.            

Emily was born in Merced, CA to John and Mary Quinn. She graduated from St. Mary’s High School in Stockton, CA and earned a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from Providence College of Nursing in Oakland, CA. She began her nursing career in Germany as a Lieutenant in the US Air Force. After serving, she returned to Merced and for the next 45 years continued her career in psychiatric and geriatric nursing. As Director of Nursing at Hy-Lond Health Care she taught and inspired many to pursue a career in nursing and was affectionately known as Mrs. B. Emily was known as a deeply compassionate and intelligent woman with a sharp wit. She loved the ocean, was a sports fan, animal lover and train travel enthusiast. She enjoyed crocheting, crafting, and was an avid reader. She will be deeply missed, but leaves us with many treasured memories.

Emily is preceded in death by her parents, husband Aldo Beluardo and beloved daughter Lia Miller. She leaves behind brother John Quinn, Jr., son Ron (Gwen) Beluardo, daughter Teresa (Scott) McPherson, daughter Nancy Beluardo, son Vincent Beluardo, 8 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
