Harry John Bryan 1931 – 2021
Born April 28, 1931 in Niles Ohio to Theodore and Caroline Bryan. He grew up in Indiana Pennsylvania and after graduation from high school, he enlisted into the United States Air Force on October 25, 1949, serving for 20 years as a gunner flying on the B-29, B-26, and B-52 bombers, and having 181 combat missions over Vietnam.
He met his wife Orilla Z. Bryan while stationed in Spokane Washington. They were married on October 3rd, 1953 and were happily married for over 49 years, until her death on May 27, 2003. He retired from the Air Force as a Master Sargent on December 1, 1969 and moved his family to Winton, California. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and loving great grandfather. He was a member of Saint Anthony’s Catholic Church, a Life member of the NRA, VFW, and DAV.
Harry is survived by his son’s Michael Bryan of Merced and Patrick Bryan of Graham, Washington. Daughters Barbara Hunter of Spanaway, Washington and Theresa Brownfield of Merced, California. Seven grandchildren, Thomas, Melissa, Matthew, Mandy, Victoria, Patricia, and Zachariah, and Great grandchildren Angelina, Logan, Gavin, Emma, and Briggs. His sister Martha Hautzinger of Frewsburg, New York.
He was proceeded in death by his wife Orilla Z. Bryan and a son Joseph T. Bryan.
Visitation services on December 8th from 4 to 8 pm, Rosary will be at 6:30 pm on December 8th
Mass services December 9th, 10:00 am at St. Anthony's Catholic church, Atwater CA.
