On Wednesday, May 26, 2021, Jeannie B. Schriber, loving wife and mother of five children, passed away at age 76.
Jeannie was born December 26, 1944, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma with the birth name Betty Jean Wade, born to Hoyt and Dorothy (Dodson) Wade. Jeannie, also known as Betty Martin, worked at Save Mart in Turlock until the late 1980’s, then went on to a fulfilling career as a vocalist and musician in the entertainment industry.
Jeannie married her second husband, Jim Schriber September 17, 1989, and spent countless hours creating demos with and for musicians at their Mix-Master Recording studio. Jeannie enjoyed weekend sailing, gardening, and was gifted in sketching, and oil painting. Jeannie had an outgoing personality and a contagious smile.
Jeannie was preceded in death by her father, Hoyt; mother, Dorothy; and brothers, Jim and Gary Wade. She is survived by her husband Jim Schriber and five daughters: Diane Martin, Wendy Jones, Annette Martin, Nancy Fisk, and Mary Holmberg-Johnson.
A funeral service will be held on June 4, 2021, at the Ivers & Alcorn Funeral Home 3050 N. Winton Way in Atwater. A viewing will be held 10:00-11:00 a.m. The funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. and will be followed by a procession to Winton Cemetery, 7651 Almond Avenue, Winton, for her graveside committal.
