A beloved mother, wife, daughter, granddaughter, sister, niece, cousin and friend, Katie Lynn Borba was called to our Lord, at age 37, on April 22, 2021. Born in Merced, California on March 23, 1984 to Tom and Linda Borba, she was raised on the Borba Dairy where many memories were made. She was a unique and caring individual who touched the lives of all who knew her, bringing them kindness and laughter. She had many nicknames, which included Kate, Katie Cat, Kate Skate and Donate, Kate Skate and Show Up Late, Bunky Bangles and our favorite Kay Kay.
Katie attended Golden Valley High School and graduated in 2002. She continued her education at Merced Junior College, but she eventually chose to attend cosmetology school and went on to earn her cosmetology license.
Katie is survived by the love of her life, Gino Pinocchio and their four children, sons Kade 9, Kord 8 and daughters, Giada 5 and Cecelia 6 days old. She is also survived by her parents, Tom and Linda Borba, sister Beth Allison (Justin), their children Tylie, Tatum, Teale and Jayton; sister Shannon Ray (Nate), their children Hadley, Holden and Hayes. Also surviving is grandmother Elnora George and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Katie is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, John and Cecelia Borba and maternal grandfather Arlin George.
She was a fiercely dedicated mom to all of her children. She loved playing with them, doing arts and crafts, helping them with their school work, volunteering in their classrooms, and simply just enjoying being with them. Family always came first for Katie.
Katie’s beautiful smile, infectious laugh and charismatic personality will never be forgotten. Those who knew Katie loved her unconditionally and she will always be lovingly remembered and forever in our hearts.
