Margaret Elizabeth Quinn (Merlini) was born on May 25, 1944, in Indiana, Pennsylvania. She spent her formative years growing up in Gallitzin, PA, with her family and beloved animals. After receiving her BS in biology, Margaret met and married Air Force Lt. John D. Quinn in April 1967 and soon started a family. Being an Air Force family, they spent the following years living all over the United States and overseas in Guam, eventually settling in Atwater, CA, where she would happily spend the rest of her life dedicated to the care of her family. Margaret was a woman of many talents and interests; a skilled pianist, artist of several mediums, fabulous cook, lifelong Steelers fan, and could grow anything with her green thumb. She loved to read science fiction novels and was proud to be an original Trekkie. But most notably was her talent and love for the game of Bridge. She earned Life Master status and was a highly sought game partner, rarely missing an opportunity to play Bridge. She had a love and fascination with all animals, but especially wolves. Margaret was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Celeste Merlini, brother John David Merlini, nephew Devin Merlini, and niece Deana Merlini. She is survived by daughter Ann Quinn Rankin, son-in-law Kenneth W. Rankin, daughter Elizabeth Wilber, son-in-law Glenn Wilber, grandchildren Abby, Liam, and Libby Wilber, brother Robert Merlini and sister-in-law Doris Merlini. She will be sorely missed by all that loved and knew her.
