Mitsue Hasegawa Rego, 80, of Livingston, CA, passed away January 7, 2022, with her family by her side.
She was born March 21, 1941, in Tokyo, Japan. Mitsue worked at a Chocolate Factory through High School, before becoming a Server/Hostess at the US Air Force Base in Tokyo.
She married Robert Rego in May of 1964, before returning to the United States from Japan, and they lived together in Livermore, Ca for thirteen years before relocating to Modesto. Mitsue is survived by her husband, Robert Rego, and two children: Troy Rego, of Modesto, Ca; Kimberly Ulmer, of Modesto, Ca. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Mitsue was a gifted seamstress, loved playing Bingo and winning big at the Casinos. She passed her Japanese culture, food, lifestyle and appreciation for her home country of Japan to her children. She had many friends and was always making new ones. She will be loved always and missed forever.
