Marion Eileen Van Den Boom

Marion was born in Duluth, Minnesota to Joe and Harriet Gregg.  She is survived by her husband Dale, daughter Pam, and son Glen (Shan).  She is also survived by, two sisters, Ceal and Gale, and two Grandchildren, Luke and Chris.  She was proceeded in death by her son Greg, brother Jerry, and sister Beverly.

Marion passed away at home with her family at her side.  She was the matriarch of a military family and moved from base to base in the United States until her husband retired in Merced in 1981.  She worked most recently, for 30 years, in education, as a school secretary at Hoover middle school.  She had previously worked as a hardware sales associate in Moore Oklahoma.  She enjoyed spending time with her Grandchildren, her pets, creating ceramics, playing cards, and baking.

A memorial service will be held at St Patrick’s Church on Tuesday October 10th at 11am.  The rosary will precede the memorial at 10:30am.  In lieu of flowers, please consider per Marion's love for animals, to make a donation to the Humane Society at https://www.humanesociety.org/how-you-can-help
