Mark F. Gabellini

Mark Francis Gabellini, 62, was welcomed into the Lord’s embrace on Friday, September 29, 2023.

Mark was born on December 26, 1960 to Pio and Lavern Gabellini in Oakland, California. He was the younger brother to Norma Gabellini and older brother to Laurie Ferro. In 1964 he and his family moved to Napa, California where Mark graduated from Napa High School.

Mark first started working when he was 13 years old delivering newspapers for the Napa Register. He went on to do many different jobs through the year ranging from physical labor to bartending before beginning his job as a retail manager Yardbirds in 1982. While working at Yardbirds, Mark met many people who would become lifelong connections for him.

It was while he worked at Yardbirds that he met and married Susan Harrington in 1998 who would become the mother of his two children: Adrianna and Daniel. It was also initially at Yardbirds that Mark would meet and get to know his future Life Partner: Terry Tibbitts. Mark and Susan separated in 2010 when Mark went onto Disability through the State and during this time, Mark truly began his life with Terry. They would go on to live together and were together until Mark passed away.

Mark was a loving and caring man. He would always tell jokes or just say silly things to make people smile. He always wanted to help and be included in the lives of the people he loved. He loved watching sports and spending time with his family. He believed in God with all his heart. Let it bring us all peace to know he is no longer in pain.

Mark was preceded in death by his parents: Pio Gabellini (1969) and Lavern Gabellini (2018), his paternal grandparents: Vincent Gabellini (1975) and Josephine Gabellini (1980), and his maternal grandparents: Kenneth Courtney (1955) and Alma R. Courtney (1986).

Mark was survived by his life partner: Terry Tibbitts, his daughter: Adrianna Gabellini (Tyler), his son: Daniel Gabellini, his sisters: Norma Gabellini and Laurie Ferro (Tom), his nieces and nephews: Shaun, Kylee, and Gillian, his heart-grandson: Oliver Tibbitts, his dear friend: John Chapman, and many other friends and loved ones.

Mark will be cremated and returned to his family. A memorial service will be held at a later date to honor and celebrate his life.
