Obituary

Mother Essie Mae Anderson was born in Gilabend, Arizona to Mr. Hobart and Mrs. Cornelious Loring, she was one of 16 children, there were three sets of twins.

In 1946 she married Robert W. Anderson in Indio, California. They later moved to Merced, California where they purchased the property on which they raised their eight children.

Mother Anderson received her education at Indio High School, she also went on to further her education at Merced Junior College and graduated with her AA Degree in Early Childhood Development.

In 1970 Mother Anderson was saved and filled with the Holy Ghost under the ministry of the late Elder Heulon Hewitt. Sr., Holiness Non-Denomination Church. In 1990 Pastor Allen G.  Hewitt became her pastor of the Church of the Living God Temple #2 where mother Anderson served as a faithful worker in the house of God. She served many ministries in the church. She was Youth Sunday School Teacher, she helped mold Pastor Hewitt, which was one of her pupils, into the man of God he is today. She was also the church secretary and treasurer. Last but not least, she was the Women’s Bible Study Teacher and later she passed the torch to Missionary Ruby Hewitt. Mother Anderson served faithfully after the late Missionary Rosie Hewitt passed and she became the mother of the church. She was loved by all., and her ministry touched many lives in the Central Valley as she ministered, witnessed and faithfully taught the word of God.

Mother Essie Anderson was preceded in death by her parents Mr. Hobart and Mrs. Cornelious Loring, four brothers: Wayne, Curtis, Arthur and Paul Loring and two sisters. Lessie Harrell (Her twin sister), and Hiawatha Midclift, two children: Robert Dean Anderson, David O’neal Anderson, one grandson: Derald Caery, one granddaughter, Rolonda Johnson.

Mother Essie Anderson entered into eternal rest on Monday, September 21, 2020, at the age of 92. She leaves to cherish her memory, her children:  Verna Baber, Odessa Osby, Linda Harris, and Lawrence Anderson of Merced, CA: Mary Harewood of Sacramento, CA, Denise Lee of Fairfield,  CA, Sisters: Rosetta Griggs, of Stockton, CA, Daisie Torrence, of San Bernardino, CA, Susie Loring of Englewood, CA, Ruth Evans of Collierville, TN, Brothers: Jesse Loring of Perris, CA, Joseph Loring Anderson of Tulare, CA , Winston Loring of Tulare, CA, Cornelious Loring of Tulare, CA, Hobart Loring Jr. of Killeen, TX, 24 grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren, 8 great-great- grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, To God  Be The Glory!

Mother Essie Mae Anderson was deeply loved and will be deeply missed.
