In loving memory of Sylvia Magana

Sylvia (Duenas) Magana of Atwater, CA passed away at home on December 22nd, 2022 around 1:35 pm   after a 6 year battle with lung cancer.

Sylvia was born on 08-29-1963 in Los Angeles, CA to Alfredo and Beatrice Duenas. She had lived in Atwater since 1995. She graduated in 1981 from Livingston High School. She was employed by Rite Aid  for nearly 40 years mostly as a Pharmacy Tech.

Sylvia was the Los Angeles Dodgers #1 Fan. She enjoyed going to Spring Training in Arizona for a week at a time for the last 10 years.

She was a loving wife, mother , and grandmother. She is survived by her husband of 37 years Mark Magana of Atwater; son Michael Magana (Jennifer) of Atwater; daughter Gabrielle Magana of Atwater and 2 beautiful grandchildren , Landon and Kinsley (Michael/Jennifer) Magana. She is also survived by  her brother Manuel Mercado (Ofelia) of Delhi, sisters Cecelia Gallo (Angel) of Tulare, Consuelo Ramirez (Javier) of Atwater, Jennie Avina (Ralph) of Livingston, Tere Andam (Mike) of Livingston,  Amelia Jimenez (Guillermo) of Atwater, and stepfather Manuel Mercado Sr of Delhi.

The family wishes to give thanks to Dr. Mohammed Eldaly and Michelle Digiovanni and the staff at Emanuel Cancer Center in Turlock.

A viewing will be held Thursday , January 12th from 4pm-8pm at Ivers & Alcorn  Funeral Home located at 3050 N. Winton Way in Atwater, CA.

A rosary and mass will be held Friday , January 13th at 9:30 am at St. Anthony’ Catholic Church located at 1799 Winton Way in Atwater, CA.

Burial to be at Winton Cemetery located at 7651 Almond Ave. in Winton, CA.
