Vasilia Hernández González, passed away peacefully on July 12, 2023, at the age of 97 at the Franciscan Health Care center here in Merced. Vasilia was born in East Chicago, Indiana on May 12, 1926.
Vasilia enjoyed crocheting, going to church, family gatherings and visiting with her neighborhood friends. She was a loving grandmother to all the neighwood children and helped raise a friends child ( Eileen Gonzalez) whom she considered as her daughter. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Cresencio Hernandez, her parents Ernesto Gonzalez and Celedonia DeLeon, her siblings Elena, Maria, Antonio, Felipe and constancia .She is survived by several cousins, nephews and nieces.
