Wanda June Tamayo, 83, passed away at her home in Atwater with her family by her side. She was born on November 1, 1938 in Sulfur OK to William Packnit & Flossie Flowers. She went to her final resting place on November 24, 2021.
Wanda began her career at Farmers Insurance right out of high school in 1958. She then worked as a stay-at-home mom until her girls started back to school. She retired after 30+ years in December 1997. She enjoyed working in her yard, bowling, watching football, baseball, home shows and especially watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren play sports.
She leaves behind her two daughters, Yolanda Ochoa and Shelly (Tony) Vasquez, brother Wayne (Linda) Packnit, sister Joan Medeiros, 4 grandchildren Eddie Jurado, Erica Jurado, Anthony (Erika) Vasquez and Philip Vasquez, 3 great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She preceded by her parents William Packnit and Flossie (Joe) Flowers also her brothers Kenneth Packnit, Buddy Flowers, Johnny Flowers and Ronnie Flowers. She will be dearly missed by her family, extended family and friends.
Thank you to Seva Hospice for all of their care given to our mother – she always looked forward to her “spa days”. They were amazing – especially in her last days.
